How to choose the snack for school

The choice of the snack to do at school is important for children's health.

The snack should in fact respond to some fundamental characteristics: be varied (not always the same), be tasty for the child, be chewable, provide the right amount of energy and be in the right amount, so as not to interfere with the main meal which is lunch.

Thinking about all these features, we thought of some suggestions on what could be the right snack for school, a mix of compromises between all the qualities listed.

Desserts are an excellent solution for snacks at school but only occasionally and preferring homemade desserts or without too much added sugar. To avoid, however, sweets with creams, too caloric.

Among the snacks recommended at school also sandwiches or stuffed focaccia. The sandwich - or focaccia - should not be excessively large or too stuffed and it is recommended to use foods that are not too caloric to stuff it.
